Re: September Recap

Hi.  It’s me David.  Mum & Dadd talk about me sometimes.  (You can search for “PETS” on the blog to find all posts on us).

I think I should reeply to  Mum & Dadd’s last post about me and the “baby” things.

  • First, I’m pretty sure something’s going on inside Mummy.  Her belly is really big, and squirmy.  I can’t sleep next to her at night unless I cuddle near her face.  And if I get to close to her belly, it kicks me.  I don’t like that so much.  She also uses the bathroom more than I use the litter box.  That’s not normal for her.
  • Second, I keep hearing about this “baby” also known as “Andrew”.  I’ve been here about 3 years now, and it seems like every 2 years or so, they add a new family member, so it might be that she’s saving her belly to feed the new guy.  (I say its a guy, because they call him Andrew, and that’s a boy’s name).  I’m fine with getting a new friend, because Buster has turned out to be an OK buddy, and Maggie & I get along fine too.  Mum & Dadd seem to have good choices in friends.  (They did pick me)
  • Third — I like cozee things.  Especially cozee things that are too high for Buster to slurp at or for Maggie to fight with me over.  I like sleeping on the bed, sleeping on the sofas, and sleeping in my cat tree.  Mum & Dadd have been buying and getting a lot of cozy things to prepare for “Andrew” coming home.  And they’re all in places that Maggie & Buster can’t get to.  So I take advantage of that.  I get a nap and they get to use another cozee spot.  And when this “Andrew” thing comes home with them, I’ll see if he’ll let me share.

I think that getting a new “Andrew” will be fun.  As long as there are plenty of cozee spots for everyone, and that Mum & Dadd don’t forget about all us older friends.  (They haven’t so far).  That’s all I have for now.  But it will soon be winter, and my friends the squirrells will be out and playing pranks in the snow.  I’ll write more then.

September Recap

So its the end of September, and we’ve done a bad job of being on the blog.

Things keeping us busy:

  • birthing classes started 9/12
  • Rob’s been traveling.
  • Prepping & recovering from Baby Shower weekend
  • Heather took a week-long class that wore her out!

We have managed to update our Baby page, so feel free to check that out.

To keep you updated, we put together a montage of David being David, and thinking he’s a kid.  The latest is that he enjoys sleeping in the baby carrier, and is willing to test-drive items, such as the baby sling we’re borrowing.  Enjoy.

End of August Update

Not much has gone on around here…

Heather’s been crazy craft busy. She ended up trying to make a few burp cloths, and they came out pretty nice, with decorative stitching and all that.

During the long Labor Day weekend: Rob got a new liner for his truck, we had a cookout, went to see a baseball game, dropped off a truckload of stuff at the Salvation Army, watched college football, played some Wii, and took Buster out for a handful of walks.

Heather’s now 29.5 weeks along — getting exited for the 10-week countdown to start. We’ve updated the baby page with new photos and new Mom-dimensions. (Heather’s getting B-I-G).   If you haven’t wagered a guess at Andrew’s birth statistics (when/length/weight), you may want to go to this link and guess now.

Almost time for apple picking and fall yardwork…we’ll see how many bulbs get planted this year for next spring (grin).
