So Rob’s on a trip, and I’m by myself, prepping for our first Preggers Road Trip (BTW — Upcoming Congrats to Jeff & Tia).

I am not the type to just listen to quiet road noises when I’m driving, ’cause that freaks me out.  So I use the radio to drown stuff out.  I don’t always have my iPod, so I have some radio stations of choice.  Recently, our “oldies” station has converted its format to 60’s-80’s.  And we have an “MP3″ station that shuffles songs from the 70’s to today.

Between those 2 stations, and a number of commercials (like this one for VW w/Mr. Blue Sky,  Monster.com w/Do Ya,  and JCPenney w/Livin’ Thing) I have heard a lot of ELO recently.   And I pretty much realized that I:

1. Didn’t really realize that all those songs were by the same band when I was learning about cool music in HS ’cause the band modified their sound so much.
2. That I got out of the classic rock genre when I got to VT and should find my way back like the good American girl I am.
3. I am afraid that this will transition to a regained interest in Hall & Oates.

This holiday week we went to see a couple of movies.  One of the trailers was for Underdog, a Disney remake of the original cartoon.  The premise is that after a scientists’ experiment goes wrong, an ordinary beagle finds himself talking, and with super powers.

While I’m convinced that Buster has led a double life in the past before we adopted him, and that he may have spent his time fighting crime before he came to visit us, I think that he’s now living a life of mild retirement.  Because, he usually spends most of his spare time doing this:
