Favors to ask my audience…

We have 2 favors to ask…

  • We have harvested 37 turnip.  Are there any friends in the VT area that like turnip and would like some?
  • Rob & I will be bowling for Children’s Miracle Network on November 4th.  CMN is my sorority’s national philanthropy (charity they donate to).  CMN’s mission is to assist children’s hospitals in getting the resources & equipment they need; this goes beyond surgical equipment & hospital beds; it also helps with child safety programs, such as bike helmets, carseat/seatbelt awareness, and child abuse prevention programs.  Your donation will go directly to Vermont’s Children’s Hospital.  If you would like to sponsor us, please email me or him.  We would love your support.

October to Date

Happy October.

We’re now all done with the full moon (which was awesome, by the way, as it rose around dusk as I traveled over the NYS/VT bridge on Rte78 on Saturday…bright yellow & all spooky-like) and its time for another recap.

  • The deck is coming along.  Photos will show up shortly.  We need to finish balusters & lattice work.
  • We’ve had our first frost, and last harvest.  I have over 20 lbs of turnip.
  • Bowling is fun!  We both have bowling balls & shoes now.
  • Went back to Clarkson for the twice-yearly Alumni Council meeting.  Got to see the President’s house, and networked with a number of other alumni.  I love visiting Clarkson, but its gotten a little weird over the years.  Especially the fact that some things change (like Ro-Bro, adding a new President’s house, and a new Business Lecture/Office hall), and other things stay the same (the “New” Dorms, now over 30 years young).
  • We’re off to visit the Roberg’s in CT.   2 Men, 2 Women, 2 Babies, and 2 doggies weekend.  We’ll be seeing double.

Pics will come soon, I promise.
