What did July look like?

So it’s been a while…

Had my 5th reunion in Pdam earlier this month. A pretty good time. Unfortunately, we came home and found a woodchuck made a rodent apartment under the front porch. Not good; he ate all of my Zinnias….

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Vermont Brewer’s Fest with friends. A lot of fun, and I found a new beer. Yay for me; no more Boone’s farm or cross-state transport of Woodchuck cider from Plattsburg/Rouses Point to Vermont!!!! :-)

Last week we went camping in Stillwater state park. Did some canoeing, hiking, and sleeping in the ol’ tent. Got to see a white-tailed deer up close while hiking, and introduced ourselves to some ducks and some loons too.

This weekend we stayed home and weeded the garden, and watched Team America: World Police. Right now we have a free preview of MTVHits. I just saw the Clay Aiken music video for “I’m stalking you”/Invisible. Right now is Jessica Simpson mauling her way through “Boots are made for Walkin’”. I bet Willie Nelson wasn’t glad she was singing, but enjoyed the show….so I changed the channel. Now I’m watching Attack of the Clones on CTV.

Speaking of Canadian TV, I can’t wait for Coaches’ Corner in the Fall!! It appears that the NHL is back on. LA Kings play the Habs on Dec 3rd, @ 4pm. If anyone wants to make a weekend of it, let us know!!

GOD!! Star wars dialogue is horrible. And seeing Natalie Portman with hair makes me really hate her new skinhead haircut; those funky things they did with her hair and wardrobe were awesome. I just wished they had better scripts.

Our Vacation

We just returned back from a 3-day camping trip to Stillwater State Park. It was very enjoyable.

Sunday: Got into camp; got settled, and went on a canoe trip around Lake Groton.
Monday: Got up, hiked around Peacham Bog, came home and went swimming
Tuesday: Got up, canoed, struck camp, and went home.

One thing to mention is that we shared our site with a family of American Black Ducks. We also saw lots of chipmunks, about 6 common loons, and a white-tailed deer.

Our new friend

We have a new friend.

He ate all my Dahlias & Zinnas. That means war.
We are first going to trap him and relocate him.

If he chooses to come back and eat more plants….
